Hosts replied quickly to any messages. The extra travel directions were very useful and the check in was easy. The location was great for us - close to Solfest. Great accommodation, beautiful master bedroom, good bathroom. Beautiful walled garden with orchard, plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the garden.

The location is beautiful. It is a private area, but also not too far from the centre of Keswick, probably a 10 minute drive and the most. If planning to get a taxi use the recommended local taxi drivers on Google as there is no Uber. Taxi to the centre should cost around £10. The house was very clean, had plenty of utensils and cutlery and little touches such as salt, pepper, oil, tea, coffee and hot chocolate were welcome additions that you do not get anywhere.

It was clean and well loved. Lot of pride put into this place.
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.

Location was fabulous, beautiful village in the countryside. Village had a shop, cafe and a pub plus beautiful walks all around. Cottage was spacious, lovely big rooms, great kitchen with an AGA, beautiful stone floors downstairs, parking.
Absolutely everything!!
The lodge was spotless, traditional decor with a modern twist. Lots of natural light from the many windows, that let you look out onto the amazing view.
Location was perfect, you can venture out to local villages easier enough.
The standard of this lodge from the carpets to the towels was exceptional.
We are already looking to book again!!
Everything about the lodge, the site and the village were wonderful and the owner was a lovely host. My wife and I had stayed here on two occasions forty years ago and this was planned as a happy 'trip down memory lane'. Everything was just as good as it had been all those years ago.
We loved the property. We had read the previous reviews which sounded exactly what we hoped for. We weren't disappointed.
The accommodation was perfect for us and the village is quiet, lovely and friendly.
Caldbeck is well placed for the hiking routes we had planned.
The local pub, tearooms and shop are all within walking distance and there is an unmanned facility for buying fresh milk and milkshakes.
