We loved the Family Tree. The room was spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard with interesting features and everything you could want for a short stay. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom had a good sixed bath tub. It is well located for exploring places in Derbyshire such as the Tram Village in Crich and not too far from Matlock. The breakfast was simply superb and we have been telling everyone about it.

It was a great cottage for our short stay in Whatstandwell with our dog, providing all the facilities we needed and with an exceptional view of the village. Overall, it was very clean and tidy and I appreciate that the hosts paid attention to detail and even left us some milk and cereal for our first day.

What an incredible place. We could have sat out on the courtyard all day. The room was beautiful and spacious and luxurious. One of the best beds I’ve slept in. We asked for a bottle of wine in the room for a birthday and it was a lovely surprise.

There is a car park available. We had a warm welcome and the rooms were beautiful, really gorgeous. The courtyard is also lovely. Breakfast was amazing, we really enjoyed it. The surrounding countryside is very picturesque. Crich Tramway Village is just 5 minutes away and Matlick Bath and Belper are both close by.

We stayed here to visit Crich tramway village and Winkworth Heritage railway. It is equally as close to Matlock Bath and other attractions. The hotel was exceptional for the price we paid, the room (2) was spacious and beautifully furnished, and very clean with large shower room. Very attentive and friendly staff. Plentiful parking there is a railway station opposite and this enables you to hop onto a local train for a quick journey to Matlock without having to search out extra parking. Recommended and would return.
