It is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location with lots to see and do nearby. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and there was plenty of space for a family of four. It was a short walk to the village which had shops, pubs, and a petrol station and the locals were really friendly. Loved the walk along the stream right next to the cottage!

Glendyne Cottages is a nice wee cottage in Wanlockhead. The village is very small but is very pretty to look at and has a bit to do with all the old lead mining history. We stayed as we were walking the Southern Upland Way and we found that the property was warm and comfortable with plenty of hot water.

The cottage was amazing and so much bigger than you think. So cosy and homely. Really quiet and peaceful. And loved that the private pool was 2mins away. Would definitely go back.

Perfect location in an outstanding setting. Lovely village with interesting and easily accessible walks. Great for walking the dog. Really nice and welcoming pub just yards from the front door but no noise problem at all. We really enjoyed our stay in this picture perfect cottage. Rear garden was actually the side of a small mountain that had sheep roaming so unable to allow the dog out in a contained area. That said the area was so peaceful we couldn’t criticise that aspect too much.

The setting was beautiful and the cottage was wonderfully quiet and cosy. The fireplace was just what we needed to keep us warm and the heated pads in the bed made for a lovely night's sleep. There are lots of good walks nearby and the village isn't too far from shops should you need anything.

What a lovely peaceful village. It was interesting to walk round. I didn't know this when I booked but my ancestors are actually buried here.

cosy quirky cottage very well thought out .well appointed and very comfortable :perfect for a short stay. longer may have been more difficult due to lack of space to store clothes . The cottage was very clean and fresh and all basic cooking necessities provided. There are no shops in the village so the very generous welcome pack provided by the owner was very much appreciated . There was also a very useful information file covering things to see and do throughout the local area including a comprehensive list of local walks .
