A lovely and unique place to stay. very comfortable and cosy. We wanted for nothing thanks to the thoughtful and accommodating host.
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
Lovely atmospheric room. Good quality toiletries and hot rainfall shower. All the staff are friendly and helpful .The food was really well cooked and presented. Very good value for money. The pub is set just off the A6 in a quiet village
There was an extensive menu, well prepared and served by very courteous staff.
The premises were well situated in a quiet village but close to a main road for easy acces to north and south
Excellent evening meal and very good options for the breakfast
Real ale in the bar
Lovely village to stroll around
Great view of the church from the bedroom
The property is a very traditional inn, complete with log fires and decorated with dried hops. The food was excellent. We had 2 main meals and 2 breakfasts that we really enjoyed. The room was comfortable with a fabulous shower and luxury products. Our dog enjoyed her stay too.
A superb stay in a quaint village, not far from the M6 with great surrounding walks.
Very pleasant and attentive staff made me feel welcomed and the stay easy and enjoyable.
Breakfast and all food was fabulous . Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Special mention to Andrew, the Manager, who waited for me after closing time and guided me back by phone when my Sat Nav misguided me and left me completely lost in the dark. “The Wheatsheaf” is a place of real character and heart. My view of the illuminated Church from my window was a real bonus. The village is small but wonderful. Loved my time here.
