We stayed at the Backlet in July 2021, two adults and two teenage girls, this was a first stay and won’t be our last, it’s a lovely fisherman’s cottage, right smack in the middle of the village, everything you need is max 2 mins walk !!! The property was spotless clean on arrival and has everything you need for a couple of weeks stay, there is no parking outside but that’s normal in Cornwall but the included parking permit is easy to use and it’s a very very short walk to the car park, I reversed my car down the street to unload our bags and that was easy to manage, overall couldn’t pick a fault, the village is stunning, and location of the Backlet was perfect, the communication from the property host was amazing and made the whole process smooth and hassle free ! 5*

A really lovely well-equipped house overlooking the harbour. Very spacious and comfortable with every modern convenience you can think of. A parking voucher provided for the local car park was a very handy bonus.

Stayed for 3 night winter break. Excellent location. Central but quiet. Booking included parking permit in nearby car park. Cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped (although the only kitchen appliances we used were the kettle and fridge). The heating was a little quirky (each radiator controlled from its own panel), but pushing the buttons till desired result achieved seemed to work! Good wi-fi. Several restaurants were closed (out of season) but enough were open for us to eat in a different place every evening. The Ship Inn is highly recommended! The Christmas tree in the living room was a nice touch.

Nothing really to add to the list of glowing reviews, all good, probably the most comfortable and certainly the cleanest place I've ever stayed in. Five minute walk down the hill to Mevagissey Harbour. Seven minute walk back up the steep hill to the house. Would certainly book again.
