Loved the location, the quaintness, the history, the fact we were able to take our dog and there are loverly walks nearby, we all enjoyed the walk into Appleby and back (about 20-30mins) the hosts and locals friendly we have already booked for next year and can't wait to get back

Lovely, cosy lodge in the picturesque countryside. If you’re looking for a quiet get away, this is the place. The hosts are great, and the lodge was spotless when we arrived. 10-15 drive to local villages, and under an hour away for Windermere.

The concept and location are a plus on this one. Waking up with the horses as you step out of your hut in the morning gives a certain serenity. Little village close by to get your needed supplies, or to go out for diner.

Lovely added features in the property including an air fryer, kitchen condiments and hair straighteners. Really felt like the property owner had thought about every little detail to make it a pleasant and luxurious stay. We had a welcome gift of cookies and chocolate

The lodge was stunning so clean and super cosy. Debbie was so welcoming, we really appreciated the little welcome basket and we will definitely look to book again. The hot tub was lovely, super clean and sheltered so great for when it was raining. The village was a lovely walk away and the Masons arms did really nice food and such friendly staff.

The owner went out of her way to put birthday banners up for my wife, which meant so much to me, and the communication was amazing as the post code just takes you to the village.
