Great house with plenty of room. It was perfect warm and homely. There was a small issue we had with the front door (we couldn’t get it to lock) but the owner was in the end of the phone and this was resolved quickly. I felt really relaxed and at home here.

Very friendly owner, great breakfast, lovey clean and spacious room. The location is superb for touring the Caithness area, and the village itself has a beautiful tiny little harbour.
The Blends is in an old building but it has been refurbished and our room was spacious and modern. Nice breakfast, tea and coffee making in the room. The building is just off the main road - not noisy at all. Jo the host is a Kiwi and very friendly and welcoming. NB Latheronwheel is a very small village and there's nowhere there to have dinner. You have to drive to Lybster just up the coast to the Portland Arms. It was very busy with tour groups staying so you should definitely book if you want to eat there.
Firstly the view was amazing. The chalet was a welcome retreat after a long day walking the JOG trail. Bed comfy and ample breakfast left. Host also kindly transferred our large rucksack to our next accomodation.
