Absolutely stunning location with fabulous views and in a great area for mountain biking and walks. Plenty of parking. Lovely old barn conversion with plenty of space inside.
The king sized bed was comfortable so I think it must have been replaced since the comments about the bed being uncomfortable.

Very clean and comfortable. Quiet location with easy access to woodland. Lovely artwork in every room, much of which was by a family member. Bridget was most welcoming and helpful, and quickly supplied us with extra glasses and other items when friends staying locally visited us. Very convenient for many places of interest.

Very friendly welcome and on hand to answer any queries, this is a true gem of a place and we'll return! Welcome pack a lovely surprise, recommendations of local eateries and places to visit was so helpful. If you like a lovely peaceful retreat with a bit of quirkiness then Hoarthorn Hideaway is the perfect getaway.
Lovely little village, great little pub, staff are really friendly and helpful the room was lovely, nice 4 poster bed and really comfortable, however we had room 103 which faces out onto the main street, and next door but one to a kebab shop which is open until 2am . So expect some noise, we would definitely go back but ask for a room that doesn't face onto the high street,
This was a rare find, we loved everything.
-Excellent value
-Great location, we loved visiting the various eateries in the village for dinner without the need to drive in the evening
-Friendly host
-Clean and well equipped
-We accessed lots of beautiful walks, hired bikes, went paddle boarding, went to Clearwell caves and Puzzlewood
Lovely village, good location to explore lots of local attractions. The local residents were really friendly and helpful.
Beds and pillows comfortable. Fabulous bathroom and lots of space, great for young families
Lovely breakfast. I particularly liked the Kippers and poached eggs. The granary bread was also really nice.
Bed was really comfortable with lovely linen. Much better than I was expecting for the price of the room.
Atmosphere in the bar and the surrounding village was warm and friendly.
The information bureau a few minutes away also helped us choose our walks so we kept it local.
Beers in the Angel were excellent. The micro brewery next door was a bonus.
It’s a very old building, great for those who look for authentic, historic village location. Spacious little suite with large shower bath and toilet, and a separate single bedroom. Hostess was friendly and organized plain yogurt for breakfast at our request!
I booked two premium rooms as they were the only ones available and seemed very reasonably priced. What an understatement: The Captains Suite was luxurious with a balcony overlooking the beautiful golf course. Bluewater junior suite equally plush and being ground floor great for less able husband! Dinner in the clubhouse was freshly cooked and delicious. We had drinks in the sunshine watching the bowls.
