Remarkable conversion of an old barn. Despite being one big room (plus bathroom) everything was there - well appointed kitchen, double bed, sofa, TV. Only had access to catch up TV. In a small village with no shops (but 2 pubs). Lovely area for walking - can walk to Barnard Castle on a very pleasant 2 hour country walk through well marked fields. Rachel had left eggs and milk (coffee and tea) which were appreciated, but definitely worth making sure you have some other basics with you as you'd have to go back out in the car otherwise.

The property was lovely- very clean and comfortable and so well designed. Everything had been thought about. We had two private patios and access to a secure paddock, which was great for our greyhound, Lily. Andrew and Gill were the perfect hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed. Very friendly and knowledgeable about places of interest in the area. Cotherstone is a very pleasant and quiet village and we enjoyed two evening meals in the local pub. Lots of walks and beautiful views. We hope to return soon.
