What an amazing place Edge Barn is; easy to find, beautifully situated, clean, quiet and comfortable. Beyond the field, where two horses roam, is a view of the Severn bridges, and a tremendous sunset. The cottage is clean and has all you need, from crockery to a washing machine. One of our favourite ever stays.

Very clean and comfortable. Quiet location with easy access to woodland. Lovely artwork in every room, much of which was by a family member. Bridget was most welcoming and helpful, and quickly supplied us with extra glasses and other items when friends staying locally visited us. Very convenient for many places of interest.

Lovely quirky cottage with a good amount of space and a good garden. Tea, coffee, milk and biccies was a nice touch.
Easy walk into town away from the road on an old railway line and good access to the forest.

Symonds Yat itself is a wonderful area and we spent much of our time outdoors exploring, fishing, hiking canoeing etc… however I advise staying in many of the other accommodation options which are highlighted below.

Absolutely charming hotel. Rooms are a great standard with a beautifully ensuite, lovely range of products ,extremely comfy and thoughtfully set out wigh fridge and dressing table. Outside is beautifully landscaped with lovely areas to sit outside and enjoy a drin. Resterant serves delicious meals with an extensive wine menu. Delicious breakfast was served in the morning. The room was located in a lodge with remote access functioning exactly as the hotel informed us. Perfect for our needs, large car park and located in a lovely village. I must say, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and large, room clean and beautifully appointed bathroom, albeit the toilet needs to be moved a little away from the wall. Very cosy for our needs overall and a nice breakfast provided next door.
A character Tudor building tastefully extended with an excellent restaurant and garden. Reasonable amount of off street parking. It's a quiet village location not far from the Wye valley. It's also a renowned local restaurant so booking evening meals is essential. Excellent staff. Bar and restaurant prices were not excessive for the quality and service.
