Really great campsite, the owners are really friendly, helpful and welcoming. The facilities (showers, toilets and kitchen area) are perfect and really clean. There is also plenty of room for the kids to kick a ball around. Although we stayed during a very windy storm we were still warm and cosy in the bell tent with the wood burner and plenty of blankets provided. Great location close to Whitby.

Booked this place for a friends wedding, travelled 9 hours and couldn't have been happier to arrive here.
House was beautiful, very homely, and welcoming.
Hosts were fantastic, very helpful, and accommodating. Even offered us a lift to the wedding venue.
10 out of 10 for both the house and hosts.

Very Modern, well equipped cottage in a peaceful location.
Had good showers with nice hot water a must with 2 young boys.
A very light and spacious cottage we really enjoyed are stay.
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
The location was perfect. A beautiful little village nestled away with stunning views yet with every amenity you could want - 2 great pubs, a tea room, co-op, playground and a train station direct to Whitby!
The cottage itself was so quaint and cosy, modern yet traditional. Comfortable beds, everything you need, nice and clean!
Perfect for a family of 4, kids didn’t mind sharing a double bed.
Very spacious, nice and quiet little village with lovely views.
The cottage was very clean when we arrived, a lovely welcome pack on the table.
Lovely pub in the village also.
Perfect if you wanna get away from it and just relax.
Excellent location to all parts of North Yorkshire. The cottage was well appointed. The lounge was very cosy and the bedrooms comfy. We slept well. The village pub was a very short walk and a co-op local just over the road for any essential supplies. Parking was on the road and we always found somewhere very close to the cottage. We would happily return. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cottage was lovely with plenty of space for the four of us and 1 dog. Nice and cosy to sit in but plenty going on in the village too. Castleton is a great location; there was a small supermarket, great pub which also did food and a lovely cafe. Deli 21 near the cottage was a highlight to get a packed lunch before going walking. Plenty of walls from the cottage.
