The Lodge was located in a quiet lane not far from Bridgnorth township. It had two outdoor areas had all the facilities you would expect in your own home, including a clothes line and off street parking. It was clean, well heated and modern. We only spent a few days there but it would have been a great place to stay for a longer time.

The Property has a great location, just off the high street. It has everything you could possibly need and it’s even nicer in person. The owner has put a lot of love and care into the cottage, which portrays through. When you enter the cottage, you immediately enter the living room. Under the tv is where you will find local leaflets/books on Bridgnorth (very helpful) on things to do and history. Log burning stove, with logs already chopped, sofa with reading lights and dining table. You go down a step into the kitchen, where we found our welcome basket (bread, butter, jam and biscuits) milk was in the fridge. Oil, salt, vinegar, cereal, rice, foil, tea, sugar, coffee, sauces were already in the pkitchen. There was a horse door from the kicthen into the rear garden. wonderful gravel area with plants and vines. An amazing view looking down over the lower rooftops and views of the river and bridge. There’s a large table with benches and a parasol, along with a bbq (coal also provided in garden storage) Our favourite place to sit and have a morning coffee. Walking back towards the front entrance there is a slim wooden spiral staircase that leads to the bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Very comfortable bed /bedding, very fresh clean smelling bedding with a wardrobe for hanging. Bathroom is quite large with a window with the same view as the garden. Great, strong hot shower and all towels are provided. Everything is immaculate, very clean and lovingly decorated. Would recommend and without a doubt stay again.

Shining Star Bridgnorth. This cottage is delightful. It is located on the Cartway not very far from High St.The living room is rather spartan with just a sofa and tv. An extra chair and coffee table would be a nice addition. The kitchen is great. The stove works well and there is a large table ideal for eating and working. The central heating switch is in the kitchen and it is set automatically. It was a nice temperature in the cottage. There is a washing machine and a microwave. Lots of lighting. At one corner is the narrow quirky staircase leading upstairs. Once upstairs there is a large bedroom and a bathroom. The shower is always hot and has good pressure. The crowning glory of the cottage is the outdoor patio which is just off the kitchen. We were so lucky to be able to enjoy sitting out most days even though it was cool. The view is fantastic. The cottage is nicely decorated with shining stars here, there and everywhere as well as number “8”. The cottage is very quiet and we had no difficulty falling asleep. There is a small anteroom off the kitchen with a desk and lots of information pamphlets. Did I mention the welcome basket - WOW. The host provided enough food for breakfast for the whole week we were there - cereal, milk, bread, eggs, mushrooms, orange juice, jam, yogurt, tea , coffee and melon. What a lovely treat! We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone staying in Bridgnorth - the location is ideal. We were walkers so parking was not an issue for us. Ten out of ten!
