The property was amazing lots of character and was a lovely size We liked that they had built in stair gates at the bottom and top of the stairs and everything was clean and it had a lovely cosy feel to it, the whole location was beautiful and the grounds are amazing my favourite was the pool area a nice size pool which was lovely and warm as heated also around the pool it had comfortable chairs to chill out on, also a bonus dog friendly as well. Would definitely stay here again. Also we didn’t know they do Weddings and the new building to do them inside is amazing. Staff absolutely fantastic.

The idyllic home is nestled in the quiet village of Black Torrington, Devon. We were greeted on arrival by our hosts Ray and Anne who helped us with our luggage. The accommodation was very comfortable and immaculately clean. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the squirrels and birds in the morning and especially enjoyed the excellent full scale English breakfast cooked for us each morning! We cannot recommend Kingsley Cottage enough.
Beautifully crafted treehouse with luxurious furnishings & well equipped kitchen. The woodland location by the river was very peaceful. The hosts were very helpful, plentiful logs for the burner and, thoughtfully, a few basic groceries were there, ready for us.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here, Tony who met us on arrival showed us around the retreat and showed us the vegatables they grow and that we can pick to eat. Lovely walks to go on, and was very helpful recommending places to go to eat and see..
Thank you for a lovely peaceful few days away.
An idyllic rural retreat, Ray and Anne were wonderful hosts, made us feel welcome from the start. Our main aim was for a relaxed break which the Kingsley Cottage B&B certainly provided. Lovely room, and a great breakfast each morning.
magical experience with laid back calming atmosphere from quirky friendly host and helpers living on site. The retreat cabin is modern and well designed. Ideal for those that don't want full on camping. The Inn and court yard bar is delightful. The lake and walks add to all this and you can involve your self or be left to be solitary. We will return for open air Shakespeare soon.
Beautiful cottage in a lovely area in North Devon. The B&B is run by Ray and Anne, who are so welcoming and friendly. We had a truly relaxing break there, enjoying the nice garden, walks in the quiet countryside, a delicious breakfast cooked by Ray, and really nice food at the nearby pub in the village. It is our second time there and we will definitely be returning!
