we loved the hot tub! - really nice after the long Dirty Reiver gravel bike race. The dog was happy in the enclosed space. very quiet and peaceful. next to the brewery - must come back to visit this next time. Near to the town where there are shops and pubs.

The house and the location are both exceptional. It really is a beautiful, peaceful place to spend some time.
There's lots to do in the area, both nearby and further afield.
The house is incredibly well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. From anything including a bread maker, Nespresso machine and all the pots and pans needed to cater for the full house, to thoughtful items such as hot water bottles in the bedrooms and various blankets, games and DVDs in the house keeping you cosy, comfy and entertained.
The hosts are responsive, and throughout the run up and during our stay they were easy to get hold of.
The house is far more than as described in the listing. It just doesn't do it justice. There's even a cute little play house in the garden which the little one in our group really loved.
The bathrooms are both gorgeous and the facilities are lovely. The showers especially so.
There's a lovely outside seating area which we really enjoyed sitting in in the evenings watching the bats, moths, listening to the owls, and watching the stars. Just a stunning and very special place to be.

Great country stay! The location is close to many nice trails. The room was large, comfortable and everything we expected from a country mansion. The grounds and pub were also very pleasant to spend time in
The breakfast was exceptional, especially the fresh-fruit salad. Although no car park of their own, there was the facility to park nearby on the village green.
This property isn't in Alwinton it's in Byrness. Great for me, I know the village and knew before I travelled. The property is lovely. Don't go if you specifically want Alwinton!!
