Squirrel Barn, hotel in Abbots Bromley

Featuring an open-air bath and views of garden, Squirrel Barn is a holiday home situated in a historic building in Milwich, 19 km from Trentham Gardens.

Squirrel Barn is a fun and eccentric place which genuinely caters to the whole family (and more!). It is a beautiful old building filled with anything and everything you could think of, with wonderful little touches and a really warm feeling. We were in the area to visit Alton Towers and to be honest we had just as much fun at Squirrel Barn! The owners are fantastic - friendly, accommodating and excellent at contact. Thank you for having us!

We stayed here as an overnight stay before going to the theme park, the cottage was cosy and exactly what we needed after a long drive from Glasgow. The alpacas outside were great too ! Great value for money and would recommend as a good place to relax and unwind, very peaceful.

Beautiful home, very clean throughout and had everything we could possibly need for our stay and more! Beds were very comfortable, rooms all smelt lovely, little chocolates on the bedside tables. Good location in village, handily placed next to a good pub for food. The staff kindly came in and opened up for breakfast a little earlier for us on Saturday as we needed to be somewhere for 9am. Old building with wooden beams. Not a dislike at all, just a surprise. I think it is a growing trend for b&b owners not to be on site. We came across this in the US. If needed, you reach them by phone. The breakfast is in the front of the building,in the cafe.

I enjoyed the village style location. Two pubs in close vicinity plus an indian not far away, gave excellent suggestions for an evening meal. The room (attic) was pleasant and comfortable but really ideal for an elderly gentleman. Breakfast had several choices. Parking was just outside.

From the moment I walked in to the coffee shop the staff were really helpful showing me to my room and advising me of the restaurants/pubs in the village where I could get an evening meal. The breakfast and service the next day was wonderful; so much choice! I was on a Roses and Castles painting course at Kings Bromley Marina - I have passed on your details to the host so he can recommend your accommodation to others.
