A nice apartment tucked away on a quiet street not far from the train station. The apartment occupies the first floor of the one-storey house (the ground floor is a garage) surrounded by small garden, which guests may also use (there are some chairs, a small table and a parasol, but we haven't really used it, as the weather was too hot to sit outside during the day, and we preferred to stay inside after dusk to avoid mosquitoes).
The apartment itself is accessible through the short flight of narrow stairs, so some minimal fitness is needed to bring the luggage upstairs. It has a living room with fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom and a (separate) toilet. The apartment is decorated in a mixture of industrial and land-house style, very nicely fitting the immediate surroundings and a overall feeling of the town .
The location is perfect for the train connections to the castles of the Loire valley, and also convenient to explore the town of Tours.
The hosts are great, they maintain friendly communication and you can reach out to them anytime, receiving prompt response. The very detailed description for the check-in and checkout were also provided.

We had a great stay in La Dépendance. Marie was very friendly and showed us where everything was that we needed during our visit - restaurants, places to visit, markets and bike hire. The gite was very well equipped and beautifully furnished as well as being centrally located in Tours, close to everything. There was also a place to store bikes if necessary. If we came to Tours in the future we would definitely stay again. Thank you.

The house is wonderful and unique, elegantly equipped with nice design touches! It is a one of a kind place with a historic feel! It is very quiet. There is all the equipment needed in the kitchen, also a washing machine, iron, hair dryer, even a garden grill!, etc. The hosts are super kind and always available. There is a very nice garden and patio, to enjoy morning and afternoon sunshine. The house is very conveniently located near Amboise and it allows for an easy access to many of Loire's castles, including Chenonceau.

The owners went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. The villa was utterly outstanding, the food delicious, the room was huge, clean and beautiful, all facilities needed were provided, good location, view to the Loire river. Would definitely come back. Beautiful old house in lovely gardens, communication with James was easy, we are not French speakers and he spoke good English. He was kind enough to contact us as we were travelling to Le Clos du Roc and ask us if we would like him to book a restaurant for that evening. I am glad we did as his recommendation of La Berlot in the village of Montlouis-sur-Loire was a great choice…. We had an aperitif on the terrace then We walked through the garden and up some steps into the town.
Lovely large luxurious room and large en suite, overlooking the river. Beautiful tranquil garden - excellent for sitting out. Very friendly welcome from the host’s collie who escorted us from the car! The hosts’ attention to detail was first rate and they made us so very welcome. We booked and enjoyed a lovely meal on the first night.

Staying in a chateau-hotel like this one has to be experienced at least once in a lifetime. This property looks very much like the chateaux you visit on the Loire Valley and the chateau estate is possibly much better than most of them, with an impressive tomato garden, caves and a very large web of alleys to walk on the estate. The hotel staff is very courteous, they arranged a reservation to dinner for us on the village nearby since we called too late for reserving dinner at the chateau.
