Fabulous camping, sublime location, tremendous weather, wonderful swimming in the Mediterranean, perfect hiking in the Alberes mountains, fantastic village nearby (Laroque), superb art in the area: Romanesque churches and sculptures, intriguing culture: French and Catalonian, not too many tourists.
Fabulous high-tech accommodation with super-friendly hosts. Lovely freshwater pool is behind owners part of the house and shared with them so is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Location gives easy access to all amenities in the village but is in a quiet, peaceful area with only the sounds of birdsong and the bees.
Laroque is a beautiful village and Le Refuge is a gorgeous old building. The terraces are lovely and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The larger bed was comfy.
Great location in our favourite village, 10 min walk from great restaurants and hiking trails. Plenty of space, well equipped kitchen and good shower room upstairs. Separate toilet upstairs was handy. One 5'bed and a twin room upstairs.Large sitting room upstairs and front and back terraces for breakfast and dinner, we ate outside for all meals in our 4 week stay here.
The house is well furnished, clean and very spacious. Big bathroom, spacious bedrooms. The bed is really comfortable, only bit on the smaller side. Everything works well in the house. With the heat, two air-conditions definitely helped. The village itself is also very lovely, with nice restaurants. Host Sebastian is very friendly. If we come back, we will choose to stay again!
It was lovely to be able to return to Where Eagles Fly Villa after a two year absence due to Covid restrictions. The location is wonderful. It has stunning views and a number of hiking footpaths and trails which start very close to the villa, as well as from the town. The apartment itself is well-appointed and very well equipped with a good deal of extras that one doesn't usually find in holiday accommodation. In addition, Gill and Mike are very hospitable and helpful.
