I came to this property as a random selection to split up my travels across Spain, and I was truly blown away by the property. It had a really nice setting, and the owner was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to set up the property for our stay. They provided a list of restaurants and places to visit, as well as a mini ice cream to welcome us. The breakfast was a really nice touch, milk, coffee, and tea, all provided and much more. The house, outdoor area and swimming pool were decorated perfectly both inside and out. Two nights before my stay, I had been in a five-star hotel in their top room, which cost a small fortune. However, coming to this property the next day, I found the service to be ten times better, and the cleanliness was also ten times better. I was truly amazed by this stay. It was definitely the best place I stayed during my travels from Malaga to Madrid, stopping at several locations along the way. I will be coming back to stay again for longer!

The accommodation was a lovely apartment with secure parking. It was set in a lovely village. The host had left leaflets about a place to eat, which we went to, it was called Taberna El Pilarejo. The food was excellent, would definitely recommend it.

The apartment is in a lovely old building next to the castle. It is well equipped, the owner helpful and Baños de La Encina is an enchanting village. The castle and hermitage were fascinating. There are plenty of places to buy food and we found one excellent restaurant, which had just been open a short while. It was easy to park close to the casa. This is a great place for exploring the countryside. We went on an excellent trip with Bird and Lynx Ecotourism and enjoyed a visit to Baeza, with its lovely Renaissance architecture.

The place was amazing, with a room that looked out on a medieval castle, with very friendly personnel as we arrived at 2100 and the kitchen technically closed but they served us nonetheless. The village is very cute and there are olive trees as far as the eye can see.

Probably this rural hotel is the best we have ever had the pleasure in staying. The location was excellent, the design and decor stunning. The restaurant and service faultless. Can not help but recommend it to all who would enjoy a stay in a small but interesting village with a beautiful castle and superb views.

Room was a good size and a bit quirky e.g. steps up to bathroom. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was plentiful. Nice garden area to sit in. A short walk uphill to the centre of the village with it's beautiful church and castle. We will return to explore the area more extensively.

The house was very rustic and clean and charming on the top end of the village, with parking not too far from the accommodation. The family greeted me and showed me round and how to light the stove, the son spoke a little English but the mother spoke none. There was constant hot water in the property, which is a bonus in an old Spanish house. My dog was able to stay and there was a lovely old castle nearby to walk him around, as well as in the village itself.

We liked everything. The house has been completely renovated in very good taste, keeping the original features but adding all the comforts of a new building. Magnificent views. We could not have been closer to the castle. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We loved the village as well, the castle was impressive and so were the stone buildings and churches.
