Carni & Kate were awesome hosts. The Yert was super luxurious. Great pool and good opportunities to chat with other guests. Sunset deck on the top of the hill was special and great pizzas. So good we came back for a couple more nights!
This place was just incredible. We walked in tired and dirty after a day canoeing the gorge and were immediately transported. The room was beautiful looking out onto bushland, quiet and luxurious. The welcome drink and happy hour canapé's were also incredible, served on couches by the pool area. We also had dinner in the restaurant and were very impressed with both the service and the food. The local produce was fabulous. Breakfast in the morning was also lovely and we left feeling full, pampered and happy.
Victoria Village is a workers camp. I felt like I was back at work at the mines in western QLD. Which isn't the worst thing. The room was fine. the bed was comfortable. The location was ok if you have a car. Having a buffet food service available on site was handy if you don't want the hassle of going into town.
It is not luxurious accomodation by any means but nor was the cost. The location to the main street of Katherine, the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, the very helpful staff and the more than adequate hot buffet breakfast all exceeded our expectation especially given the economical cost to stay here. We would definitely recommend considering for it's value for money.
We stayed in the motel rooms twice and the village units.
We far preferred the village units which had a kitchenette and a private pool. These were excellent value for money in our view.
