Best to stay in South Pattaya.

9 September 2024

Best to stay in South Pattaya. Easy access to beach and nightlife. Staying in a hotel on beach road (Amari, Hilton) makes sense. There has been a big clean up in the past years with public beaches looking great and usable by families and all. Big walkway along the beach.

This is the gay part of Pattaya so expect more gay men moving around. They are quiet, polite and no problem but some people may find this uncomfortable. I was there with my wife so it was of no consequence to me and I was never approached by anyone. Everyone I spoke to seemed friendly from what I experienced.

Beauty and tranquility.

28 June 2024

Beauty and tranquility. Very relaxing by the costal and good vibes. It's away from the main city but you can get whatever you need here. Good restaurants and cafes, nice beach to cruise or do your jogging. You can have a romantic or adventure time here. Just minutes away from the main town. Its like a paradise at the conner.

The beach is not attractive water, has plastic in it, and the sand is not soft or pretty. There is always a pleasant breeze though. This is not the place to come for a beautiful beach vacation. This is the place to come for vibrant nightlife every day of the week, be it bars, legal marijuana, massage parlors, and legal prostitution. There are also several tourist things for all ages, including elephant experiences, Buddhist sites, temples, and amusement parks. Beautiful beaches, there are not. The food is hit or miss as much is catered towards Western tourists. Find the small family-owned restaurants for tasty authentic Thai food.

18 June 2024

Pattaya South / Jomtien is much nicer than main Pattaya which houses the bars, clubs and sleazy trade in girls. It is much quieter and more like a holiday resort, rather than Blackpool with sex. We had our own car, but taxis are plentiful. Jomtien beach is nicer than Pattaya beach.

I only stayed three nights before going to Phuket.

5 April 2024

I only stayed three nights before going to Phuket. I would like to stay for a week in the future. We went to walking street once but during the day, I would like to go at night also. We visited the big Buddha which was nice. I had trouble arranging for a visit to the elephant Sanctuary in Pattaya but did that later in Phuket. The weather was perfect during my stay.
