Situated on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, Jomtien Beach is essentially an extension of Pattaya City, drawing in tourists from all corners of Thailand who are keen to enjoy its six-kilometre stretch of sandy shores. The emerald green waters are ideal for surfing and sailing, while the beachfront restaurants offer fresh seafood dishes with incredible sunset views.
Evenings at Jomtien Beach are an energetic affair, with a broad range of bars and nightclubs dotted along the shoreline. Head to Pattaya’s famous Walking Street to experience the best local nightlife. The area is home to half a kilometre of popular venues such as Club Insomnia, 808 and Candy Shop.
Jomtien Beach’s surrounding area is home to a huge variety of fun-filled water parks. Pattaya Park Beach Resort is famous for its 240-metre-high zip-line experience, while Ramayana Water Park has over 50 slides, massage parlours and a natural lake. If you want something even more adventurous, visit Dream World to try out hair-raising rides like Sky Coaster, giving passengers plenty of twists and turns as their feet dangle freely.

Much quieter than Pattaya and beach cleaner.
25 October 2024
Much quieter than Pattaya and beach cleaner.Plenty of bars, resteraunts ,coffee shops etc. Meals in bars and resteraunts appear to be more expensive than Pattaya.Generally bar price for drinks good San Miguel 60-80 baht. Plenty of free pool tables unlike Pattaya where most bars charge 20bht per game. More enjoyable environment than Pattaya.

Not far from the hotel, about 5 minutes walk, there is a HUGE outdoor food market. If you want to well and cheaply - this is the place to go! Not lited as an attraction on the Booking.com site - there is a MUST SEE place just a little way out of town. It's called the Sanctuary of Truth. It's a temple and a museum of sorts - and it's quite a spectacular building. Well worth a visit. And if you're a photographer - then the golden hour light is incredible when working with the beautiful wood in the building. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanctuary_of_Truth
Overall my stay was great.

Overall my stay was great. Some aspects of hotel are dated. One I would like to see upgraded is the shower head which did not give the best balanced mix of hot and cold water plus it was a fixed head whereas I like to have a flexible head with a hose.

Most of the staff were fantastic the air con you could not control unless you took out the card for electric. Pools and pool area was clean and beautiful with showers and toilets and pool towels. Great for family a range of food at the pool side bar and the restaurant which is open to the public of an evening as the entrance to the restaurant is on the street. Beach, Bars, restaurants and shops right on your doorstep. Hemingway's was our favourite proper English pub with a telephone box for show. Would defo go back
I have used Bookings.
14 March 2024
I have used Bookings.Com forever without knowing I should check what type of accommodation I’m booking. Cococabana is not a hotel. It’s an impressive 59 floor, 1644-unit condominium on Jomtien Beach soi 9. The rules of the building do not allow short term rentals of less than a month. Because of this the task of finding the key to my room was an adventure. I eventually realized I had to phone a number in China. I was then sent a What’s App text telling me to make my way to a parking space on the second floor, open the trunk of the car there, find a numbered black lock box among about 50 such boxes, open with a code provided in the text and find the key to my room. My room on the 36th floor was a tastefully decorated but quite small two room unit with a nice view of the gulf. TV in each room but alas no TV channels, Netflix and You Tube only. Notes as to what to expect Bring water, none provided No daily room cleaning There is nobody on-site to help, all communication is through What’s App, sometimes response is relatively quick, other times less so. In summary, admittedly partly my fault, I thought I was booking a regular hotel room and not a condo unit. I prefer hotels to condos.
