One of the seven emirates of UAE, Sharjah brings the Islamic and Arab heritage together with its traditional architecture, cuisine and lifestyle. With the Gulf of Oman to the east and Persian Gulf to the west, this city offers idyllic vistas worth photographing as you walk along the Al Majaz Waterfront or canalside complex of Al Qasba.
This emirate is titled ‘Cultural Capital of the Arab World’ by UNESCO. On your trip to Sharjah, you can acquaint yourself with the ancient Bedouin history and culture at the Meliha Archaeological Centre. You’ll also get to learn about this region’s traditions through the artworks of skilled artists at the Sharjah Art Museum and artefacts at the Sharjah Heritage Museum. Celebrating penmanship, the Sharjah Calligraphy Museum displays centuries-old works and also conducts calligraphy workshops that you can participate in.
The golden sand sprawling across the deserts of the United Arab Emirates are best-explored through outdoor adventures. Setting out on a day trip from Sharjah, you can visit the rugged Fossil Rock and ruby-red dunes to enjoy camping, dune bashing and stargazing. For a respite from the arid climate, you can make the most of the clear waters by jet skiing, windsurfing or parasailing.

The staff are professional and to the point. You get the exact answer to a question and this always makes them serve you faster. I was happy with the room and the service and the location, it is also very convenient for all your needs like supermarkets, food stores, mosque etc. The car park too is very user friendly and accessible directly to the hotel lift. The only issue was that on my second day I found that many cars had been parked without any sequence and quite a few cars were blocked by cars parked across. I think there are many who are not guest in the hotel who also park because there is no security person at the gate and it opens for any car that comes in front of it. This is a point that the hotel management can take into consideration.

The Sharjah Corniche, with its verdant greenery, serene canal, and stunning seaside views, offered a captivating blend of natural beauty and urban convenience. The abundance of restaurants and readily available parking further enhanced the experience, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing stroll or a delightful meal.

Sharjah is similar and at the same time very different compared to Dubai. It is exceptionally green for the area and there are lots of wild cats - I like cats :). Like in all the emirates, there are beaches nearby, you have great weather and of course it's an Islamic country. You have as well the shopping possibilities in the traditional Souks and the modern malls. Unlike in Dubai, you literally cannot buy alcohol anywhere, which from time to time can be nice as well.
