Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. Staff was very nice, can speak english well. The property itself was perfect, clean, they serve towel and new blanket also. Near from station. Definitely worth for the price

The food was great, each meal was made up of various dishes, typically japanese. The view of the lake and mount fuji from the room and the public bath was breathtaking. The staff was very kind and helpful. They can pick you up from the station and drop you off too. The room was clean and quite large, more than enough for a couple.

The photo they use is exactly the view from our bedroom - although we didn't see completely to the top of Mt Fuji we saw nearly all of it. Had a private onsen (hot spa bath) room which was welcome at the end of a long drive. Host and owner was super helpful and very friendly. An enormous dinner and breakfast were included in the price of the room. Tasty and imaginative food and friendly service.

The private onsen is a fabulous experience (after 14 years in Japan), the diner was very good, the breakfast in the room was delicious.

Right on the shore of the scenic Kawaguchiko Lake, Hotel New Century boasts spacious Japanese-style rooms overlooking the lake and Mount Fuji. We got the room with Mt Fuji and Lake view - which was amazing. The whole experience with authentic Japanese accommodation and dining was incredible. Yes, it is costly but worth the money. The staff were incredibly friendly and they provided a shuttle to and from the station, they can keep your bags at checkout and even deliver them to the station for our scheduled bus departure. You have access to the spring water baths (onsen) which are really comfortable. The food was laid out in traditional style - they accommodate vegetarians too.
