The next day, Taiyo had sent someone to find the item and served it to us in several different forms. Everyone was so attentive and kind, and we were incredibly sad to leave! The food is incredible and plentiful- the best we had in Japan. We really loved the fresh and creative nature of the food, with a nice mix of seafood and meat dishes including locally sourced foods. The courses keep on coming so be sure to save space! We also appreciated that the staff was very helpful in recommending drinks pairings that go with the meal (and which are included in the booking price). The space was recently rennovated and has a very clean and modern look. We stayed in room 1, which has a large living room, separate bedroom and a patio overlooking the creek with a gorgeous and large onsen tub fed by the hotsprings. The entire space feels very private and quiet. The location is also great, a few steps away from the start of the seven waterfalls hike (which we loved- we had it all to ourselves when we went around 10am), and only a 20minute drive from the coast, where there is limitless hiking and exploring.
