There was calming tranditional shamisen music playing over the speakers. In one word, the feeling of the hotel was 'serene'.

The air-conditioned rooms at Kurashiki Ivy Square feature cherry-wood furniture and a flat-screen cable TV. It was possible to walk to Ivy Square from Kurashiki Station, however we took a taxi when we first arrived, which only cost ¥1000. The hotel was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The hotel is situated in a very convenient area as it is very close to the main streets of the traditional Bikan area of Kurashiki with its many interesting shops selling all manner of items from locally produced tea to denim, also produced locally. We didn't opt for breakfast to be included in our booking but it was very easy to find cafes close by where we could get a coffee and something to eat.

The accommodation features a sauna, spa centre, restaurant and free WiFi. love dormy inns and this one was great … comfortable clean and the onsen was brilliant one of the nicest hotel ones I had with an outdoor area. would definitely recommend this place Okayama made an excellent base for 5 nights with the JR pass I could easily get to Hiroshima, Naoshima, kibi plains and Kurishki. this region was fantastic and the dormy inn a great place to explore from as an easy walk to the JR station.
