You will find a 24-hour front desk and gift shop at the property. This is an amazing place to relax. The monastery had a beautiful historical atmosphere and the staff was just amazing. Rooms were tidy, clean and even the standard rooms had access to the beautiful terrace. Breakfast was very delicious and fresh. Vegetables were probably from the monastery’s own garden that is worth visiting too! Also there is a lot to learn from when visiting the monastery. Note that you do not have to look for the right door inside the monastery – instead, there is an elevator inside and the personell (same for the ticket office) helps you to get there. I would definitely return for a longer stay in the future since this place exceeded our expectations. Thank you!

An amazing array of catci, succulents hibiscus, palms trees, you name it....with 3 pools open all day and night, two warm, one cold. Federico and Francesca at the front desk are more than willing to help with all your questions. A great place to stay and hang out, and a great location to feel relaxed after a day out on the island.

Kind, welcoming and helpful host in Ernesto. Attentive and informative, making sure that you were enjoying your stay, being very patient with my terrible Italian, suggesting places to go and things to see and even taking time to explain the humble beginnings of the hotel and his family’s involvement. Getting to the hotel very straight forward, despite being opposite the main ‘hubs’ of the island, owing to the excellent public transport. Room very comfortable with all of the basic amenities, cleaned to a high standard every morning whilst you dine on the excellent breakfast in the beautiful gardens. My visit was the end of April/beginning of May, so for the majority of my stay it felt like I was the only guest! Maronti Beach on the south side of the island felt similarly deserted. This is no criticism, it was absolutely perfect for me but worth mentioning for other guests that may want more hustle and bustle or for other solo travellers who may feel uncomfortable. I won’t put it in the negatives because it’s absolutely understandable, but dinner wasn’t served for the duration of my stay (one week). A slight disappointment as I had heard very good things about the dinners but, as explained by Ernesto, servings don’t start until higher season when it can be justified. To clarify, the booking was for B & B, so I can’t complain. I will definitely return to experience the food. There are plenty of excellent food options a very short walk from the hotel, along the beach front, so nothing lost ultimately. Overall, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Perfect for my first visit to this amazing part of the Word, one I hope to return to.

Villa Fumerie exceeded my expectations. It was located (in my opinion) in one of the most beautiful parts of the Island. The balcony has a great view over the ocean, which was breathtakingly beautiful. The room was spacious, clean and had all the necessary amenities. But most of all the staff exceeded our expectations. Fillipo is one of the most happy and friendly persons you are going to meet. He is cheerful and will put a smile on your face everytime you arrive or leave the building. Diego is extremely friendly, joyful and will help you any way possible to make your stay amazing. It couldn't have been a better trip. We will definitely come back and Villa Fumerie deserves my highest recommendation.
