The wifi was great. Staff were very nice and the music in the bar was great. I was too early for breakfast but the staff did all they could so send me off with some breakie. Would definitall go there there agian.

Buttermilk Lodge is 5 minutes' walk from Clifden town centre, so you can just park your car and easily walk to town.
There are 3 apartments with private external entrance - 2 x one-bedroom on the ground floor and 1 x two-bedroom self-catering apartment on the first floor, upstairs and 3 further apartments located in the main building, entered by the main entrance - 2 x one bedroom and one x 2 bedroom, these are located on the first floor -upstairs.
The owners where very kind, I felt home, and they gave me nice walking ideas for the region.
The cosy lounge with a nice turf fire was so delightful after a long walk
The breakfasts were huge and so good to regain strength for the next days.
Everything was perfect.

What a perfect house for a family holiday. Plenty of space for everyone, fully equipped kitchen, huge dining space , we even had a cot and highchair supplied. The house was spotless. Great garden and beautiful wrap around porch with plenty of seating to enjoy the views, and there was even a BBQ. Short walk into Carraroe where there was live music every night in the pubs, a well stocked supermarket and a chemist. Two gorgeous beaches nearby one sandy and the famous 'coral beach'. Great base for day trips we travelled to Kylemore Abbey, to the acquariam in salthill and around Galway city, also highly recommend Wildlands if you have kids , great for the whole family . Enjoyed tasty fresh fish and chips too in An Cuan too . Plenty to see and do in this Gaeltacht area, really friendly locals .

very clean hostel with comfortable beds, we paid good price for a family of 3 and were given 6 beds room. nice location with plenty of nature walks. great spot for outdoorsy people. restaurant in the lovely hotel building located on the same site.
