the family that owned the hotel were lovely and so helpful, they sorted out all our evening restaurant reservations for us ( there are not many places to eat and they get booked up quickly so even though its super quiet you need to reserve) and even drove us to the restaurant on the first night, they also gave us a lift into town to catch the ferry on the last day. the room was large and characterful and the balcony and the view and the hot tub were great. there is an amazing beach just 5 minutes away.

The views were spectacular. The beach in front of the hotel was lovely to swim at and the water was nice and warm (May). The beach around the corner by the view point was gorgeous. The staff were extremely helpful. They gave us great recommendations for snorkelling and kayaking tours, advice on restaurants, directions, bus service and booked our reservations. Free pick up service from/to ferry. They spoke limited English and we spoke no Japanese (just a few pleasantries) but they used a translator on their phone to work out what we wanted. Nothing was too hard. There is a dive shop there which does boat tours out to the dive spots. You can also hire an SUP.

Just in front on the beach which is very famous as beautiful in the island “hoshizuna(star sand) beach. And the beach is so peaceful and easy to watch a lot of fishes and corrals, even you just bring your water glasses. And the accommodation owns the Restrant as well and customer doesn’t have to bring your wallets, they check the end of stay for all. Which means you don’t have to bring your wallet to the beach,no worries while swimming is kinda big deal to me.

The location was paradise. The hotel was situated right on a beautiful and very quiet beach (safe for children). Bring your snorkeling gear as the water is crystal clear and you can see many colorful fishes (we saw Nemo and his family). The staff was the personnification of kindness and made our stay unforgetable. We went post-covid (summer 2022) and there was a shortage of staff but the owner made up for it with free drinks :)
