I don't know whether to sympathise with them or customers, or both. In Jamshedpur I went to 3 Oyo properties and asked if they would honour the online rate but none did because as per them Oyo was giving a hefty discount and they felt threatened that it will be a loss to these hotels if they approved of that online rate. They struggled and became blunt and adamant about not offering it instead, additionally, they have a contract with Oyo before which they can't even dissociate from them. Hence sympathies to these hotel people, just a little bit. More sympathies to customers because they lose a lot more - the trust on Oyo, the time invested to book, reach and return disappointed and the money invested in reaching those hotels. Very poor customer service by all these hotels! After some searching I was given an AC hotel room for 800 bucks at Pods and Beyond, Sakchi. They said they honoured online rate and they really did! One advice for all Oyo properties - If you really want to have other customers too, than just couples then start giving alternatives like a negotiable and acceptable rate which a customer can also accept. Remember, if you have choices to reject customers, customers too have choices to reject Oyo. :)
