The Golden Lion Hotel has welcomed guests, including royalty, for more than 200 years. The Scottish poet Robert Burns wrote a poem on a hotel window frame, a plaque commemorating this is situated on the hotel’s front. Located in Stirling city centre, it has free parking, a traditional bar and a restaurant serving Scottish beef and lamb.

Hotel in the old center located less than 10 minutes walk from the bus station, and on the main street leading to the castle (around a quarter of an hour to 20 minutes walk). My room was comfortable and quiet. The hotel restaurant offers excellent value for money meals and the breakfasts are extraordinary.

Set in an elegant Georgian building, Lost Guest House is a guest house with a welcoming atmosphere, modern rooms and friendly staff.

Staff is very friendly, spacious parking and a short walk to the city center and sights. We didn't have breakfast (was a 1 night stopover for us) because we had to get on the road again, so I cannot share an opinion about that.

Very good breakfasts at a very good price. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Great localisation close to Stirling city centre, 5 mins to walk to the train station, then only 40 mins to Edinburgh city centre. Stirling is also very charming and has a castle much better than in Edinburgh.

Location good, just on the edge of the centre of town Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was one of the largest that we have ever had for a budget hotel in the UK. Breakfast excellent, full Scottish. Served in the well decorated dining area. Pre-arrival check-in was slick & efficient.
