Located just a few minutes from Västervik Centrum, it boasts an unbeatable convenience. The staff truly is exceptional – attentive, friendly, and always eager to assist. Each meal was a delightful experience, with delicious food that exceeded our expectations. After a long day of exploring, sinking into the hotel’s comfortable bed felt like a luxury. But the cherry on top has to be the breathtaking view overlooking the Baltic Sea, offering a serene and picturesque backdrop that’s hard to put into words. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

The breakfast was very good and had a lot of variety. Although the hotel is relatively far from other homes, this is very pleasant and is a good prerequisite for a nice rest.

The generous breakfast buffet includes gluten-free and lactose-free options. Fairtrade coffee is available at all times. Bicycles and walking poles can be borrowed at Scandic Kalmar's reception. I booked this hotel mainly for Ironman Kalmar where all hotels closest to the venue where fully booked and if available would cost a fortune and Scandic Kalmar was the available option. I brought my entire family (wife + 2 kids) and adding the bike case as well, the room was not that spacious. Location wise, the hotel is 3-4km away from the Ironman race village but can easily reach by bus. Bus stop is just a few meters away from the hotel. There is a 24x7 convenience store next to it so you can easily buy stuff as and when needed even for odd hours. Buffet breakfast is very typical so I wouldn't highly rate it, it was the same type of menus during our 6 days stay at this hotel. Staff are welcoming and very helpful whenever we asked for directions.
