It is a little family run place that only has four rooms, which makes the place feel so cosy and genuine. We felt right at home, it felt like visiting a friend with the service and facilites of a luxury hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the Douro valley. It was never crowded, we even had the pool to ourselves most of the time. Service by the little team was fantastic and felt genuine. We even had the pleasure of getting a wine tasting and tour by one of the owners himself. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Everything was perfect: the house is very spacious, nicely decorated with everything you need. The beds are very big and comfortable. The view from the rooms is amazing. The pool is small, but tor us, being almost all the time alone there, was more than enough. The staff was very nice and helpful, always smiling and present. The breakfast was delicious, various freshly made home made cakes being available, with fresh orange juice and croissants. We will surely be back, thank you for your treat!

The property is beautiful, the hotel is unique in so many aspects, and the staff is exceptional! We had a very unfortunate issue that had absolutely nothing to do with the hotel, we contacted local authorities who were unable to provide us with the support we needed, we decided to contact the hotel management to see if they could assist us and they went above and beyond to anything anyone could have ever expected. Thank you very much to the hotel Director - Ms. Susana and the staff she gathered to help us in a very difficult moment. They provided us with an exceptional overall experience during our stay and, because of this we will certainly return to the hotel and recommend it to all our close friends and family.

Quinta dos Padres Santos provides elegant rooms and accommodations in refurbished old watermills in Eira Queimada, Tarouca, 11 km from Lamego. Wonderfully quiet and welcoming. A peaceful interlude in the country. The staff was extremely accommodating and enjoyable.

The downstairs layout works really well, with very comfortable sofa and seating area. The pool area ideal, plenty of chairs to suit everyone for shade and sun. We loved using the kayak.
