Sarah and the rest of the staff were so friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in the door. The bed was really fantastic, probably one of the best beds I've ever slept in. Even though the duvet was a double duvet (we like our single duvets in Scandinavia), it was still wide enough that we didn't wake each other up during the night. I recommend trying the evening platter with local delicacies one night, just remember to pre-order 24 hrs in advance. I would definitely stay here again the next time I come this way.

Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa is set in a 17th-century building, and has a leisure club with a swimming pool, sauna, spa bath and steam room. There is also a fitness centre and beauty spa. Everything! This property is in a great location. Our room large offering plenty of space for my morning yoga’s routine. We enjoyed all the facilities the props had to offer and there were plenty of them! Pool, spa x2, steam room and sauna. Breakfast was delicious and great service. All the staff were friendly yet efficient. I would highly recommend staying at Ambleside Salutation if you are visiting the Lakes District. We loved our stay here!

The hotel has some of the best on-site facilities in the area, half of the rooms with hot tubs on private balconies, an on-site spa with poolside seating and a bar, stylish restaurant and cocktail bar, bike hire, wakesurfing and paddleboading. Excellent property with fantastic amenities and great location. The staff were phenomenal.

It offers delicious cooked breakfasts, free Wi-Fi and free private parking, less than 10 minutes' walk away from Windermere Railway Station. Beaumont house was a beautiful place to rest for one night. Walking distance to shops and cafes. The owners were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was wonderful.
