Excellent location, fantastic views and beautifully decorated to the highest standard and immaculately clean inside. It has the added bonus of a parking. The new addition of a hot tub this year was the icing on the cake - absolutely perfect in every way ! Can’t wait to return.

Staff are incredible. They didn’t miss a beat. The hotel is located in a beautiful village. It’s very easy to drive around Dorset. The food at the restaurant is a must for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. I would recommend the hotel to anyone. Bit of a walk into town though about 20 mins but you cant have everything.

16 km from Bournemouth International Centre in Ferndown, 5 Geranium, Holiday Home in Oakdene Forest Park offers accommodation with free WiFi and access to an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre and sauna. THE LOCATION WAS AWESOME. THERE WAS PARKING JUST BESIDES THE HOLIDAY HOME. IT WAS NICELY BUILT AND FULLY FURNISHED WITH ALL ESSENTIALS NEEDED. HEATING WAS UP TO THE MARK. BEAUTIFUL PLACE FOR A WEEKEND.

So many things for kids to do, grounds and hotel itself were really nice and the view was awesome :) rooms were great and it was evident that they had really thought about families and what they need. Food in the hotel was nice too!

Excellent central location a couple of minutes from the train station, opposite the beach and a very short flat walk to town. We had great communication from our hosts and they were very friendly. The decor has lovely personal touches with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Very comfortable beds, clean and spacious room with a delicious freshly cooked breakfast…we’ll definitely book again, thank you No98!😀
We booked this place for the hot tub and sauna overall. Loved the sauna and hot tub. In the middle of nowhere just as we like to be. Yes noisy cows as 1 review stated lol. Yup it's the countryside so bring on the noisy bulls in 3 fields we heard having a go at each other. Great entertainment I thought. Relaxing place to be. And comms with Ronnie were excellent. And found the place easily. Nice bed and slept well.
Amazing hospitality from all the staff. The Encombe room was comfy, spacious and with uninterrupted view of the sea, you could truly marvel at the gorgeous backdrop whilst relaxing having a glass of wine on the balcony. The food for both breakfast and dinner was first class. Lovely little touches like the slippers and dressing gown. Our night stay felt truly indulgent!
The property and the location were both wonderful and the owner could not have been nicer. We arrived to find supplies for breakfast (we arrived at 2 a.m.) plus a delicious home made cake. The rooms are both spacious and homely and the under floor heating works very well. We were there for a family visit rather than a holiday, but I would not hesitate to recommend the property to anyone looking for a high quality, quiet and relaxing location in beautiful countryside, yet barely five minutes away from supermarkets and shops.
So love everything about the place. The welcome the friendliness. And room with a balcony from which we could enjoy the superb views. The quality of room was exceptional in all ways. Breakfast was excellent and the quality of service was on par with what I would expect of a luxury hotel. We were so relaxed.
Quirky, Unusual, but great Place, as is Poundbury itself. we stayed for 3 nights to explore the Dorset area and found the Duchess a great base. Rooms are good, breakfast and staff are excellent, very relaxed yet attentive, perfect. Poundbury is curious, but incredible in this modern world to get such build quality and sense of space.. The park down the road is amazing..
The front of the hotel was nice, but the rear is beautiful! They have lovely views from the terrace in the restaurant and the restaurant was clean, friendly and very relaxing. The bar is open till 12 still serving hot drinks. The breakfast is lovely and really good value. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and had all the little add ons to make your stay easier, iron, hairdryer, tea/coffee ect . The lady on reception was really helpful making you feel like nothing was too much trouble.
Julia and Ian are wonderful hosts. Although the room isn't the most spacious one, it had everything I needed. And what a view! The breakfast was delicious and the whole atmosphere was warm and relaxing. For me it was a perfect getaway!
very comfortable bed and spacious room with settee and coffee table. Tea and coffee available in room and a beautiful sea view looking out over the lower town. staff were all very friendly and attentive especially Pedro the General manager who was serving breakfast, clearing tables, helping at dinner and always with a smile. there was a 45 foot swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi in the lower ground floor which you could secure for exclusive use during a specific time slot.
