Thierry was a good communicator and has furnished the property to a high standard from the bathroom and kitchen fittings to the comfortable mattresses and bedding. The property was very clean and was obviously cared for. The goats are friendly especially when giving them treats! Confolens is a pretty town 15mins drive and Limoges 45mins. All members of our party of eight would be happy to visit again.

I cannot recommend 1854 Chassors highly enough. The place is situated in the absolute perfect location, surrounded by beautiful landscape, and a short drive away from exciting cities and the seaside. I have never stayed in accommodation so well equipped, everything you could wish for is provided - we were even offered umbrellas on a rainy day! The beds are incredibly comfortable and the gite was perfect in every way, creating the ideal escape with the pool and grounds! Barb and Kevin are so incredibly kind, welcoming and insightful for the area, recommending brilliant places to explore and are always there for any questions you may have throughout your stay. They made the place feel like a home away from home, absolute paradise!

Evening meals can be served on site, upon reservation at least 4 hours in advance. A hot tub is available at an extra cost. Our room was amazing, beautifully designed, very clean & comfortable. Breakfast was delicious there was a good variety. Veronique was so welcoming & gave us some useful information regarding a visit to a cognac distillery & restaurants. Will definitely return.
