This family-run, 4-star hotel is located close to Schmallenberg in the Rothaargebirge nature park. It offers elegant rooms, an indoor swimming pool and a large breakfast buffet.

Spa facilities at the Hotel Jagdhaus include a sauna, a sanarium, a steam room and a fitness centre. Massages are also available here. I booked late and arrived late after a 14km hike! The kitchen was already closed, but they still made me a light meal! Ibwas only there for one night, but everything looked so good and the people were very helpful! The breakfast was very good, but as i've been to many hotels, the breakfast was standard for that kind of pricerange, so that's still excelent but not different. It might be because i chose the stirred eggs and bacon with herbs mixed in(so not very local). The outside was very nice and clean! Eventough they(landscapers) were working outside my window i only noticed when i opened the windows. So even for a short stay this was worth the max amount of stars!

Beds are comfortable, all equipment is very tasteful and modern. The view is amazing as well as the sauna. The instructions for retrieving the key were clear, the hosts very helpful and approachable. Location superb, right next to the bikepark/pists (we visited in summer)

On top of the outside pool (which gets a great view of the sunset), there is a gigantic indoor pool (this one unfortunately closes at 19h) and a great indoor wellness part that stays open until late.
