Boasting an outdoor pool and fitness centre, Medhufushi Island Resort offers rustic villas that open out to sweeping lagoon views. It features 2 dining options and a spa.

Guests can indulge with a range of body treatments at Medhufushi Spa. Numerous water sports are available at Resort Medhufushi, including snorkelling, canoeing and windsurfing. Diving classes are provided.

Magical 7 days spent in absolute luxury! All the services, activities and facilities were top class: Beautiful water villa, unforgettable (and very affordable!) scuba diving at unspoilt reefs with an abundance of marine life, free daily boat trips to a variety of reefs for snorkelers, well equipped gym, relaxing 90 minute massage at the spa, a spectacular infinity pool and the most memorable sunsets at the over-the-water bar and restaurant, while enjoying a cocktail and a game of chess. All the staff members were amazing - they even decorated my bed with flowers on my birthday!

From the Male airport to the resort and back, we were carefully provided with all the services and information we needed. We were quite worried, being our first experience so far from home. Room service was provided twice a day, the food was varying every day, a smile on every member of the personnel's face every time we met. The rooms are huge and well equiped, pools cleaned daily by dedicated staff, privacy when you need it, 5 star services when you require them. But the main attraction is the water and its beauty. I've never in my life seen so many species of fish. It was enough to go snorkelling around the villa, but don't miss the free snorkelling session organized by the resort. The journey itself is memorable, but the reef and the life it hosts is beyond our imagination. Turtles, dolphins, stingrays, sharks, octopuses, triggerfish and so many other. At the end of the session we were waited with fresh fruits and cold water. There are so many people I would like to thank for making our stay so memorable: Kingston with his keen eye on detail, Sasha, so helpful and doing her best to fulfill our requests (and believe us, they were many...), Ibby, always there when you need guidance most, Mike, the child of the sea, and of course, the heart and soul of the island, Omar. Thank you for the bottle of wine, it was delicious. And the fact that we were offered another villa to stay between check-out and the seaplane departure, well, that simply turned our vacation into a dream one. Practically we extended it with one more day.. I apologise for not being able to reflect the entire experience in a few words. To put it simply we were on good hands. The small details build the big picture: fresh water in every corner of the island (rooms, boats, gym, you name it), a buggy to pick you up in case you are lazy, the free minibar, fruits in our villa at our arrival, a smile on every personnel' face, services done well, not just to check a box.

Facing out towards the lagoon, exclusive villas are set on stilts over water or on white sandy beaches. They offer the comfort of spacious layouts, classic wood furnishings and a seating area.

For leisure, water sports such as canoeing, snorkeling and windsurfing are available. Alternatively, have a good work out at the fitness centre or enjoy soothing massages at Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa’s spa.

Everything from the welcoming party to the staff to the cleanliness of the facilities. Especially the beach sweeps everyday. Loved the variety of the food and the snacks and loved most the crab restaurant , and the pool area was peaceful and relaxing. Also loved the water activities ,it was fun , hopefully next time will come with the whole family.

The water villa was really an exceptional treat. It can feel a bit outdated in some aspects but it's part of the charm. I was on a half board package, so no buffet for lunch but breakfast and dinner were more than enough. Beware though, you have to go to all inclusive to have drinks other than water included (which makes sense and is totally normal, you get what you paid for and add on top if you want more).
