Hotel is situated along the vibrant Malioboro Street, next to two shopping malls and a night market, and within walking distance from the train station (taking train from the airport is much more convenient and faster than taking car), yet far enough from the street and railway noise. Royal palace and water castle are 5-10 minutes away by Andong (horse carriage) or Becak (motorised rickshaw).
Staff are friendly and helpful, but I guess it applies to the locals. People are always smiling and courteous.

buffet breakfast is very good, despite the dinner buffet is not very satisfactory. The hotel had the details to give me a cake for my birthday. It was a nice present.

Unfortunately they have no spa or massage room, but the massage in the room was also good.
there was also tap water in the corridors so you have all the time fresh clean water.
The Melia hotel has the perfect location in the middle of the city. It has a nice garden to relax in and spacious rooms. Facilities are good, some seem a bit old, e.g. the bathroom. We had the Level access on the top floor with additional services. Staff was very nice and helpful, food in the hotel was good, but we had better food in outside restaurants. Breakfast has many options, what could be improved is the quality of the coffee.
My stay here was amazing! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Villa was extremely spacious, well equipped and in a great location. Breakfast was delivered to villa and very generous, colourful & tasty, lots of options to choose from. Pool is huge and very clean - perfect for swimming and relaxing. Lots of greenery around it, a true tropical paradise! Such a cool villa, very happy with my choice to stay here.
We’ve stayed for one week at snooze. Rooms and shared spaces are very clean! The garden is beautiful, breakfast was very good. Environment is quiet and very relaxed. The service was outstanding. With everything they offer help and gave advice and assistance on sightseeing and activities. We were sick during a few days and we wouldn’t have want other place to stay. Those girls backed us up! They are all angels. overall it was the best hostel experience we had.
