Boasting a garden, heated pool and garden views, Woodstore is located in Wells. This property offers access to a patio, tennis at the tennis court, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can use the spa and wellness centre with a sauna, and indoor pool, as well as barbecue facilities.

We stayed at the Woodstore for a short break before dropping our daughter off to her first year at University. An amazing house, spotlessly clean and perfect for a short stay. Very close to the beautiful city of Wells and its pubs and restaurants. The ability to use the pool and sauna was a massive plus after a day's touring. The welcome pack, which included treats for dogs and people was very welcome.

At Charlton we appreciate what sits at the very heart of the premium hotel experience: a perfect night's sleep. Somerset is at your doorstep just waiting to be explored, revitalising hydrotherapy is available from the moment you pick up your keys,* and a tempting tryptic of restaurants sits within our wisteria-strewn walls, but the rewards of your quiet retreat to the English countryside won’t end at sunset. After a restful evening of conversation in our exclusive resident’s lounge, a revitalising bamboo-cane massage in our thermal spa, or a soak in an antique roll-top bath you can rest assured that you'll enjoy the very sweetest of sleeps. All our rooms come with advanced refreshment and entertainment facilities, plant-powered bathroom essentials, and a sumptuous ergonomic mattress for you to eagerly sink into.

It's a charming Country House building, with contemporary interiors rather than stuffy traditional furnishings. It feels lived-in rather than boutique luxe which is perfect - it invites you to relax, dress informally and have fun. The staff are super-friendly and looked after us really well.

The hosts were were very welcoming, we really appreciated the Mill Tour and them letting my daughter help to feed the guinea pigs! The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was also nice to have the garden area to relax in. The breakfasts were delicious. The location is great, in lovely countryside close to Wells, Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge. Also, the pub across the road did delicious food and kept good ale (and had a cool pub dog, Barry the Boxer). Really enjoyed our stay.

The pub has a very relaxed atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The barman Ty should be commended for his service, friendliness, and knowledge of beers. We were welcomed with a smile and efficiency and impressed with our room. It was spacious, contained everything we needed, and we had a fabulous nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious to boot - Highly recommended, we will be back!

A real home from home. Very comfortable property and a great base to explore Wookey, Wells, Cheddar, Glastonbury and the surrounding areas. The property is spacious, very clean and well kept with all the amenities for a comfortable break. Was really nice to have a separate lounge area for relaxing after a long day out exploring.

A perfect getaway from it all. The Hot tub was a favourite in the evening and early morning. Good facilities and comfortable pod. The local wildlife was great - Kingfishers, Egrets and Woodpeckers while enjoying breakfast and tea. The fire pit was bliss. Very relaxing. Thanks to Matt for the welcome and hospitality.

The room was beautiful with a great view of the cathedral. It was spotless and there was plenty of space to store luggage and unpack. The bed was really comfortable and cosy and there was a lot of natural light. The staff were so welcoming and attentive and made us feel really relaxed and comfortable during our stay. It was really dog friendly. We had room service pizza from the restaurant which was delicious. Overall a perfect place to stay for a mini break and would highly recommend.
