1) Very nice single room, with a comfortable bed and a functional bathroom, all spotless 2) Extremely friendly people, which is a plus event though it's a self check-in place 3) I regretted arriving too late for dinner, because the restaurant looked very inviting 4) The self check-in process is simple and convenient (provided you have a working smartphone)

Owned and managed by the same family since 1908, it combines 5-star comfort with the charm and spaciousness of an earlier era. Free internet access is provided in the rooms, and free Wi-Fi is provided in public areas.

Everything at the Waldhaus was absolute perfection. We stayed here for four nights for our honeymoon and were so overwhelmed with the beauty of the property and the surrounding landscape, the friendliness and care of the staff, and the old world charm of this historic hotel. From the moment we arrived at the Waldhaus, we were greeted warmly by the staff and owners of the property. Our room was so well appointed and had the most amazing view of Lake Sils. The turn down service every evening made returning to our room after dinner like returning home. The food is delicious (you have to do the half board option!!) and the nightly menus kept things interesting and fresh. The spa was beyond anything we had ever enjoyed before, with a steam room, sauna, soaking pools, and relaxation rooms. We went on a hike through the Fex Valley and were in awe of everything we saw. It was like being transported back in time with all the modern conveniences and amenities included. Though I'm happy to be home, I will always miss the Waldhaus.

Very clean, warm, enough space for 4 people who are close. The kitchen is equipped with enough pots, plates and so on. One can prepare breakfast and cook something simple, but this was what we needed.

Renovated in 2012, Hotel Albana is situated in the centre of Silvaplana, a 5-minute drive by hotel’s free shuttle bus from Corvatsch Mountain Area. It houses 2 restaurants, features Acqua Sun Wellness Club, and offers free Wi-Fi in all areas.

Everything about this hotel was of an exceptionally high standard. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed with an attention to detail second to none. On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly & helpful staff and the overall atmosphere was warm & inviting, with the aroma of scented candles & soft lighting. The food was excellent too. On checking out we were given complimentary Nusstorte (nut cake) made in-house, which was a nice touch. It’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, would highly recommend.

The location was great to visit Engadin, just few minutes by car to Silvaplana and St. Moritz. The building was great, with very charmful spaces like a large hall and decorated stairs. The apartment was comfortable with a nice view on the mountains. The bedroom was great, the kitchen well equipped and the bathroom had all needed services. The hotel staff was kind and helpful with our needs. There was a ski deposit and a free parking for the hotel guests.

Old charming building in the middle of the ski slopes. Ideal for those who love winter sport. We had a lovely vintage (with history) room with everything we needed. Very pleasant and friendly service, good breakfast. The hotel has restaurant with good cuisine. A bit expensive, yes, but they offer a good discount if you stay 3 night at least.

The building is spacious and nice, although we called it the ghost hotel. Very old, quite empty and not working amenities, light flickering everywhere. If you like that, go ahead for the ghost tour :) We did enjoy the sauna, although its very basic and no amenities like towels or water provided.. The location at the lake is great and quiet, since far from St. Moritz.

A lovely example of the Belle Epoc style, right on the lake with the Maloja Snake passing in the early morning. The balcony room we had was great, with the big French windows, spacious bathroom and high ceilings. The breakfast room was a bit cavernous for the numbers staying, but one can imagine how amazing it would be in full skiing season.
