The room was much bigger than I anticipated, and in a Japanese style (with tatami) so I was pleasantly surprised. The onsen in the hotel was an absolute delight. It had several baths with different temperatures, a lounge space, a sauna, a cold bath (which can be rare), and of course everything needed to wash yourself thoroughly before going into the baths. The hotel also provides body towels as well as face towels, so you don't need to bring yours. They have lockers to keep your items safe while bathing. There's free breakfast (little pieces of bread + some juice and coffee/tea) and a space on the first floor to relax after the onsen for example. It has wifi there as well.

Rooms were really spacious and you have access to private onsen baths. We had dinner there (which needs to be reserved beforehand), which was truly amazing, we highly recommend having the meal along with the room!

We loved staying there. The room is incredible comfortable and clean. Super spacious and cozy. The property is run by a helpful and amazingly friendly staff. They took a really good care of us. They had ski gear available included, the breakfast was delicious and the portions were huge - we couldn’t finish it no matter how hard we tried. My 3 yo had a blast with the friendly staff. We felt like we were staying at a relative’s place. The onsen was always open and we could reserve a time for the family to bath together.

This ryokan is so charming, clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the onsen is fantastic. We loved that you can book the onsen for private use during the afternoons before 7pm. We hope to come back to Ryokan Hakura!

The main purpose of visiting was taking an outdoor onsen (an amazing experience that now I want to do more often). The owners are welcoming and kind, they do their job with love and effort! It was also my first time trying traditional Japanese dinner - I'm glad I decided to order it (the breakfast was great too). They also sell nice souvenirs. There is Snow Monkey park not far from the town, I highly recommend to visit! As well as two local cafes I also visited: CASE山ノ内 and Tea Salon Miyako.

honestly, this place exceeded our expectations and deserves so much more than a 10. Aibiya is a beautiful, warm and homey place. super clean and the facilities are great and very comfortable. Yoshi and Seongmi are wonderful hosts, helped us with everything and are just fun to be around. Our room was beautiful and super comfy, we enjoyed our stay very much and hope to be back there soon!

Tomo is the best! He is so friendly and accommodating. The property is beautiful and the rooms are perfect! The food was seriously some of the best we had in our entire 1 month stay in Japan. Onsens were gorgeous too!
