Amazing hotel with friendly staff and in a perfect location. very short walk to the ski area and close walk to great restaurants and pubs around the town. Driver picked us up from the train station which was very helpful. Staff assisted us in finding best way to our next location in japan. Also staff were very helpful with booking us into restaurants.

Arai Villa Myoko, hotel in Sekiyama

Arai Villa Myoko is located in Myoko, 47 km from Zenkoji Temple, 49 km from Nagano Station, as well as 23 km from Lake Nojiri.

The house was spacious and comfortably furnished. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linen. The villa is close to Lotte Arai resort (about 5 minute drive) and the managers of the villa were extremely helpful in arranging transport for our group with a neighbour, who was charming and helpful. The manager also arranged dinner for us at a local restaurant which usually only offers lunch and this was a very special experience for us. The drying room was excellent for our ski gear. From the house are views of the surrounding rice fields and up to the mountains.

Beautiful Onsen , amazing Japanese breakfast ( which they make small changes to each day of you stay longer ). Great hosts , loads of interesting objects and art. They also have some local products for sale. Its super quiet space , very relaxing. One of my favourite spots ive stayed in japan .
