We are an American family who has taken dozens of overseas trips, and this has to be the friendliest, most professional staff we have ever encountered. The degree of ease that Ski Inn Hakuba makes for a ski/snowboard vacation cannot be overstated. Amazing rooms, amazing facilities, great food options at the hotel or a short walk into town, ski instructors will pick you up from your doorstep, private parking — it has it all. Book with confidence. We will absolutely be coming back.

Wonderful house built by the owner Yasushi-san. Two comfortable bedrooms and more sleeping room on the 2nd floor. Heating system was working very well and kept us warm throughout our stay. It has all the essentials you need on holiday to cook and for entertainment. Wonderful location just beside Cortina resort. It is also possible to ski home directly from the slopes to the doorsteps! You can get discount vouchers from the owner for rentals and the shop. Audio for Onsen and lift tickets. The owner went the extra mile to help get snow socks for my car when it was stuck in heavy snow. We plan on coming back to stay one summer!

Everything exceeded expectations. Spacious, warm, great location at incredible ski slopes, good kitchen and bathroom, comfortable beds. The host was incredible and helped us with everything. We couldn’t have wished for more.

I was initially skeptical about staying at Tsugaike seeing how the "main" resorts Happo-one and Hakuba 47 are quite a distance away. However, Hai Lodge was everything that previous reviewers had said. Tsugaike is a wonderful resort with many different terrains that would satisfy most people. The place was very well-maintained and clean. Josh and Victoria were wonderful hosts. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hai Lodge and will definitely stay again next time!

Amazing house surrounded by trees. It's the perfect getaway, especially for families - the children can be children in this rustic cosy home and surrounding area. The option to have a bbq and a fire is fantastic. Mark is a great host and it was lovely that he stopped by to greet us in person.

Lovely lodge-like establishment literally steps from the ski lifts. Julian and Tomoko are so warm and accommodating, we could not ask for a more hospitable stay. Momiji is clean, comfortable, cozy, and provides excellent meals from the kitchen! To top it off, the onsen are beautiful and private. We didn’t want to leave!

Jason is the best host ever. He'd been extremely helpful throughout our 5 days trip. Providing travel direction to the apartment beforehand, how to get around in the Hakuba and Otari area, restaurant location, snow sport information, etc. The 2 stories apartment was super clean, and you'd have a cozy feeling the minute you enter the door. The Cortina course is right in front of the apartment. Definitely one of the best experiences we had among all our ski trips.

Super close to the gondola. Basically ski-in ski-out. The owners are really nice and hospitable. They have discounted lift prices and can easily grab rental gear for you. Breakfast was delicious, since food was homemade! The lodge aesthetically is beautiful. They have a room to dry and store all your snow equipment. I’m not sure there’s anything else I can say! This place needs to be gatekept. Hope to be back!
