Mari is the best host! We were first nervous to pay directly outside of booking.com platform but Mari was super patient with us, and ensured us about the security. Place is exactly like it shows in the photos, no surprises. Location is amazing, right in the village. Mari also provided us with groceries, supplies every single day for breakfast, whatever we asked for. Apartment was cleaned every single day. We couldn’t have asked for a better place, host and experience.

The villa is located right in Santa Claus Village. Just like the pictures. Close to bus stops, shops and restaurants. It's a beautiful very clean villa. We stayed in the first floor. You have to cook breakfast yourself but I didn't mind they provide you with lots of goods for breakfast and even snacks too. They cleaned up the kitchen and bathroom daily. The host was very sweet and pleasant. She even let me hire her babysitter for a night out in town. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you for everything!

We loved seeing the reindeer and the huskies. The room was very big and the beds were big and comfortable. Breakfast was huge, they had lots of different foods to choose from and everything was delicious.

Locating right next to Santa Claus Village makes it really convenient to explore around. Clean and beautiful room with private sauna and even outdoor jacuzzi available was just impeccable. We were lucky enough to see tinge of aurora through glass roof that night as well.

Of the four different hotels we stayed at during our Lapland stay, the Arctic Treehouse Hotel was by far my favorite. The reception greeted us with a warm welcome, and were even able to give us an early check-in to drop off our luggage prior to the tour we had planned. One of the above-and-beyond services provided by this hotel is the complimentary shuttle that drops you off and picks you up from your room so you do not have to drag your luggage through the snow. Simply message the hotel reception via WhatsApp and they will promptly drive you around the hotel premises as needed. Looking at photos on the internet, prior to our stay I was slightly concerned about the room feeling cramped. That turned out to not be the case at all as the layout of the room is perfectly designed. The closet fit our two large suitcases and carry on luggage, and the bed headboard doubles as additional cabinet storage. The Scandinavian décor creates a cozy nest ambiance and the room was full of thoughtful touches, including a Bluetooth speaker (perfect for playing Christmas music!) and a book outlining the history of Santa Claus. Most importantly, the view from the room is absolutely breathtaking and surpassed my (already high) expectations. As a free perk of booking a night through IHG, we received a Smith extra of “a bottle of wine by one of the private outdoor fire pits.” This turned out to be much more than I expected - the hotel prepped a fire inside a traditional Laavu (a wooden lean-to structure, with one open wall) on the outskirts of the hotel premise. They had additional firewood for us to keep the fire going, and provided us with our choice of a bottle of red or white wine. After enjoying our wine by the fire, we took a short walk through the snowy forest to the lookout tower that provides a gorgeous view of the rest of Rovaniemi. I highly recommend this hotel for couples and those seeking a more secluded stay (compared to downtown Rovaniemi or Santa Claus Village).
