The hotel’s location is superb! Up in the Alps in a small village, with a great host. The rooms are exactly what you need in a hotel, with a nice deck outside to take in the views - both of the area, and off down the valley. The meals - both the breakfast, and the hotel’s restaurant’s dinner were excellent. Traditional Swiss fare for both. The hotel’s host was the best we’ve ever come across in our travels. Unfortunately due to some unseasonal weather - a large snowfall - it looked like we were going to be snowed in, but our host went out of his way, contacting others in the area to get the road cleared and salted, and even escorted us back to the main road. We were so appreciative and would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

The best thing about this property is the view. Hands down. We hiked around several trails, but always agreed that we loved the view of the valley from the house best! The house was beautiful, clean, and well equipped. It was obviously newly renovated, and we appreciated the details and furnishings. We honestly could have stayed forever. There was plenty of room for our family of seven to stretch out. We loved that it was located outside of Wengen and in a little more peaceful location.

It's a million-dollar view. HOWEVER be aware that it is a half-mile walk to get to the property from the train station and it's uphill for at least 8-9 minutes of that walk heading back into Wengen. When dragging luggage at altitude, that's a lot. Getting there was easy. Getting back to the train station we paid $25 to have a "taxi" come pick up our luggage and my mom (limit one person per "taxi" ride). Having the ability to do laundry was great. Great to have all the kitchen supplies and stove. No microwave, though.
