Located at 1,247 metres above sea level on a sun plateau in the Niedere Tauern mountain range in Styria, Gästehaus Bischof is situated 15 km from Murau. The property offers a sauna.

If you look for a calm place in mountains to spend holidays with children, this is the right choice. The staff is very helpful. You can trek in mountains (waterfall nearby, solkpass etc.), you can bike (Murradweg is most polular), a nature bath see is nearby in Krakaudorf, you can visit lovely historical cities as Murau or Tamsweg. You can take a trip by historical steam train in Murau ( www.dampfzug.steiermark.at). There is lot of possibilities.

Murauer Frauenalpe and Krakaueben ski areas are a 10-minute drive or 20 minutes with the ski bus. The larger Kreischberg Ski Area is a 15-minute drive away. A beginners' ski lift is in Schöder, 2 km away. The Tauern Süd cross-country skiing track is 30 km long and is next to the house.

Guests can enjoy fishing in the nearby lake, 700 metres from the property, while children can play on the playground in the garden. In good snow conditions, there is a cross-country ski trail directly in front of the property.

Free parking is available on site, and hiking and mountain bike trails start at the doorstep. Cross-country ski runs are 200 metres away, and the Kreischberg Ski Area is 18 km away.

An outdoor pool and a playground for kids, as well as a barbecue are are available in summer. Ski equipment can be stored in a separate room on site.

A bathing lake can be found 6 km away and you can also explore the scenic Murtal valley on numerous hiking and mountain biking paths.
