Freshly upgraded and modern, very spacious and clean. Right on the main thoroughfare so easy to find. Nice beds, furniture and very nice walk-in shower. Even had a jacuzzi tub but never had a chance to use it.

The motel and apartments are built on an elevated site with extensive views to the city and harbour at the front and a tree lined valley at the rear. The apartments feature modern furniture, quality appliances, flat-screen TV’S and full kitchens and laundry facilities. The property is equipped with secure covered parking and lifts to all floors. Electric car-charging is available on site, with prior booking at the reception required. a 2 min walk to the shopping area of Birkenhead and close to cafe's and restaurants. Really quiet location and the rooms were well equipped, comfortable and ideal for our stay. the staff were great and able to help with a few special requests.

I asked for a quiet room upon request and got a lovely room away from the road yet still had a lake view.
The room was spacious, the kitchen was great, the bathroom was big, the shower was fantastic. and the bed - which we are stay for - was brilliant. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay but the best part for me was Christine. A fantastic reception greeting and genuine acknowledgment throughout my stay with each passing ensured I was really appreciated as a guest. I don't mess around with inadequacy so there's no doubt I'll be staying here on each of my journeys through Taupo in the future. Thank you too the cleaners who do a great job and hold down a great company.

The modern, spacious units have air-conditioning, fast heating electric blankets and lounges with satellite 50-inch LED TVs and fully equipped kitchenettes. Free on-site parking is provided at the front of your unit and there are free guest laundry facilities available. Room was clean, bed comfy, shower and spa very nice. And the lady at reception was very friendly. This is how all accommodations should be.
New Plymouth
One Burgess Hill offers a choice of 15 self-contained units overlooking the stunning Waiwhakaiho River and native landscape. It provides modern rooms, some of which feature a wood burning fire and private outdoor spa. Spectacular views, most beautiful place i've ever stayed in NZ, spacious room, and absolutely clean. Very good location near the town or go for hiking in the National park( both in 10 minutes drive). Definitely worth staying for more than 1 night.

Bed was very comfortable. Large room with good self catering kitchen facility. Staff were friendly, reception and housekeeping.
Excellent location near the centre of town and set back from the road, so very quiet. Full kitchen including stove top, so self catering is an option for longer stays. Clean and tidy.

Excellent location, very bright spacious, comfortable, well equipped unit, spotlessly clean. The way the mutts are set, all have balconies with good outdoor seating. The kitchen area was fabulous, everything you need for self catering. Loretta the Manager was amazing, so friendly, polite and helpful. Kylie on reception was very helpful and efficient. All in all a great stay, I’d definitely stay there again next time I’m in Taupo.
The new owners clearly have a mission to make this a top both motel and I wish them well. As yet, it's just a ordinary motel. The room we had was a decent size and the kitchen facilities fine for self catering.. There are decent sitting out areas with some of the apartments but not all. The Brooks Restaurant at the site was very good indeed.
We're not fishing types but this was a lovely place to stay. Lodge number 8 was very peaceful and comfortable with a decent kitchen for self catering. It's good value for money, there's a laundry and the cafe is excellent. Pleasant sitting out area. It's also sufficiently close to the National Park which was ideal for the day walks we wanted to do.
The room was spotless and the self catering kitchen had everything we required. The bathroom had a spa bath which was fantastic! We received a lovely welcome and there was an extremely helpful information folder in the room. The air conditioning worked well and was very welcome in the hot conditions. We would have loved to have stayed for more than the one night.
Lovely property with amazing views. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything needed for self-catering. The bedroom was a bit small, but the bed was quite comfortable. Perfect location to explore the Tutukaka Coast!
The owners were very keen to be helpful and the accommodation was perfectly acceptable for our overnight stay. This is a new venture and still a work in progress but if you're touring round Kerikeri it will make a very good base. The kitchen facilities are already excellent and self catering is very straightforward. It's clear that it will get even better and is excellent value for money.
