Freshly upgraded and modern, very spacious and clean. Right on the main thoroughfare so easy to find. Nice beds, furniture and very nice walk-in shower. Even had a jacuzzi tub but never had a chance to use it.

A private entrance leads guests into the bed and breakfast, where they can enjoy some chocolates or cookies. The bed and breakfast offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. Jolanda and her husband were super friendly and helpful. We arrived late around 21:30 but they still took the time to show us around their cozy B&B. The place is right on the highway which makes it the perfect spot if you are driving up from Wellington (or the other way of course). The room has a cool and fun design, it was spacious and we loved it. The breakfast was brought up to the room at the time we agreed upon the night before. There is even a cute little balcony and a cat to snuggle with if you feel like it!

Bathrooms were also great with good showers with soap, shampoo etc provided. Safe, secure arrangement for locking the front door and to have self check in and out.

Very nice big kitchen space that was kept very tidy. Everyone staying there were doing walks and hikes, so it was great meeting other like minded travelers there.

The food in the cafe - excellent. The kitchen, though it's the first one I've seen with more ovens than teaspoons. The off-street parking.
Perfectly located to walk into Ohakune. Spacious for 2 people. A well equipped kitchen. Lovely tiled bathroom with huge shower - seems to have been recently done up. Very clean throughout. Great to have parking right outside.
We only stayed one night, as came to Palmy for a family do and were expecting to get to the inn to sleep after midnight. We checked in at around 4pm to get the keys. The staff were friendly and helpful. The premises, even though dated, were clean and tidy. The room was also very tidy. It looked like the carpet was replaced not long ago, and the room did not have that dated smell as you would expect of an old place. The sink in the room was quite handy. The communal kitchen was also very clean. It felt like a place very well looked after.

Being a converted garage, the space is plenty large enough, but then couldn't really be described as snug. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was appreciated. However it is basic but can be supplemented with some self-catering as there is kitchenette. It was comfortable, functional and good value for money - I would recommend the place as a base for exploring the area.
Extremely well equipped modern kitchen for self-catering. Large dining table for our party of 8 and bar stools extra. Two outdoor table and chairs to enjoy the sun and outdoors. Spacious and child friendly with TV, games, videos, books. Comfortable lounge with gas fire and extra heaters if required. Well presented property, easy to locate and close to all Mountain activities. Our UK visitors didn't want to leave.
Location was great - a short drive to the centre, and away from the hustle and revelry that might disturb families with young kids trying to get to sleep. It was very clean, and the staff were lovely and helpful with information. Despite the wintry weather, it was toasty warm with the heat pump, and there were plenty of blankets to keep you warm at night. It had all you’d need for basic self catering in a roomy kitchen, and lovely views of the mountain and fields from the windows.
