It is located 22 km from German War Cimetery and offers a shared kitchen. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. So big! Out in the country. Delicious breakfast. Massive bed. We loved it.

He let us know about the market one block away that pops up on Saturdays - it was a real sight, full of fresh food and crafts. He met us two times during our 3 day stay including departure, and assisted with transportation to the train station (you can travel to Bayeux from Paris easily by train). Bayeux is a small town so this was within easy walking distance to all places we wanted to see there, and to the pick-up point for tour shuttles, too. Bayeux is a great place from which to visit both Mont St Michel and the D-Day sights, and it has good shops and restaurants. It's of course also home to the Bayeux tapestry.

The chateau is conveniently located close to a lot of different sites and the beach. There is also a great bakery in a walking distance, next to the chateau.
