We loved the experience of staying in a centuries-old listed building and discovering aspects of it's history and architecture. Having a great breakfast in a dining room steeped in history was memorable. Secondly, Paul and Melissa were fantastic hosts and it was wonderful to get to know them. Meeting them added to the whole wonderful experience of staying at Le Chateau. If they invite you to chat with them over tea, grab the chance!

Special thanks to John, who is a great and hospitile host. I was arriving by car and came very late due to traffic, John was up to meet me, show the room and hand over the keys. Probably one of the best places I stayed in France. Very clean and comfortable. The host of the property, Sylvie met me at the apartment and gave me a tour of the place. She provided me with many extra items upon my arrival, brioche and home made jams etc., a few days later, homemade deserts! She even gave me a tour in a little village outside Limoges and showed me a museum of contemporary artists in the region. I would not have known if she didn't take me there. It made my visit to this town special. I will come back again!
